River Parish Golf Association hosted its Annual Golf Outing at the Robert Trent Jones Golf courses at Capitol Hill in Prattville, AL, July 10^th through the 13^th. Twenty-one members attended the event and included regular and first time attendees. Previous destinations include Myrtle Beach, SC and Destin, FL. The members enjoyed 4 days of friendly competition, genuine fellowship and countless memories. Many of them were full of emotion when recounting the picturesque scenery and various challenges they encountered. The event coordinator, Keith Keller, ensured that each day was scheduled and ran according to plans. Food was prepared on select days by members, Nat Battiste and Sherman Daigs. At the end of the event, prizes were awarded to the best golfers over the 4 day event. Securing 1^st through 5^th place were the following- Johnel McClain, Keith Keller, John “JB” Brown, Elroy Pinkins and Malcolm Keller. With this event in the record books, the organization is already planning for next year’s event and diligently working on its Inaugural Golf Tournament, “The RPGA Open” to be held Friday October 10, 2014 at Joseph Bartholomew Golf Course.
